Keren Malki, the Malki Foundation, a non-political,
non-sectarian, not-for-profit organization honors the
tragically short life of a girl dedicated to bringing
happiness and support into the lives of special-needs
children
Many hundreds
of children from all parts of Israeli society get otherwise-unaffordable
access to quality home-care, home-care equipment and the best available
therapies. We have funded more than 28,000 para-medical therapy
sessions in the past four years (data updated as of December 2008).
Keren Malki, the foundation's Hebrew name, is one family's effort to
honor the memory of a
much-loved
child. Malki's
life ended in an act of murder, driven by hatred and intolerance. She
was 15. This website and the Malki Foundation's work are a loving
memorial to her life.

בחודש נובמבר 2004 התראיין ארנולד
רוט לתכנית הרדיו "מבוקר עד ערב" בהנחיית אליהוא
בן-און, וגם בתכניתו "הקשר הישראלי". במהלך הראיון,
שארך חמישים דקות, הרחיב רוט בנושאים הקשורים לתפיסת התקשורת
הבין-לאומית את קרבנות הטרור ואת פעילותה הברוכה של "קרן מלכי".

הבזאר מתקיים זו השנה השמינית
ברציפות לזכרן של מלכי רוט ומיכל רזיאל, שנרצחו בהיותן בנות 15 בפיגוע
הטרור במסעדת "סבארו" בלב ירושלים בקיץ 2001, יחד עם קרבנות נוספים
רבים. מלכי ומיכל גדלו בתנועת הנוער "עזרא" והפכו למדריכות ולמנהיגות
כדוגמא אישית למחויבות ומסירות בסניף.
מאז הירצחן מארגנים חברי הגרעין של
"עזרא" ובוגרי התנועה את יריד הצדקה השנתי, שהכנסותיו קודש לצדקה.
ליריד מגיעים מאות אנשים, מבוגרים, בני נוער וילדים, מכל רחבי ירושלים!
השנה מאורגן היריד על-ידי קבוצת
בוגרי עזרא מסורים מאד, בהנהגתם של אודיה טל-אור ועומר מילר. הם הכינו
סרט וידאו קצר ומרשים לקראת הבזאר, ובתוכו קטעים מקוריים מדיווחי
החדשות על הפיגוע ב"סבארו" בקיץ 2001, יחד עם קטעים המספרים על חייהן
ומסירותן של מלכי ומיכל.
